They know through trial and error which plants grow best in what soil
and when to plant them. They can also answer gardening
problems that you might have encountered or are unsure about.
With membership to a gardening club, you are often given discounts or free samples of gardening supplies from producers to try new products. Such gardening clubs may have subscriptions to gardening magazines that are full of valuable advice and tips, saving you money along the way.
As you can see the advantages of belonging to a gardening club are immense. Exchange of ideas and trialling new products together makes for a great learning experience and is good fun as well .
The other advantage of belonging to a gardening club
is
that you find new projets to get involved in and to try out in your own
garden. Other gardeners in the club can give you advice on the best way
to complete your latest gardening project and if others are attempting
similar then sharing of costs can be a good idea too.
There are many gardening aids that the gardening club can introduce you to. You could discuss what gardening books are suited for a novice and as you progress others can be discussed for the more mature gardener.
Often clubs have librarys of books, videos or DVDs that can be borrowed and exchanged by the members. Check out information on members only websites for gardening. This is something we are planning to start soon as well.
The benefits and advantages of being in a gardening club are wonderful and broad. The get together of like minded gardeners that you can talk and share ideas with as well as make new friends with similar interests. You get to review the latest in gardening accessories and tools and find out what works best and where - all in your local community.
