There are mainly two types of gardening footwear that you can get. The first choice is that of gardening shoes.

They often lok like rubber boots without the length. Even on dry days there is usually a muddy patch somewhere in your garden. The other type of gardening shoe that you can buy is that of boots. While you will definately struggle to get these on and off, they are a godsend when gardening in that they are dry warm and you can mess about in the puddles without getting dirty.

Like your gardening shoes, boots should be made of a sturdy material that can stand up to branches and other sharp objects. You need to make sure they are made out of a waterproof material as well.

Gardening boots that extend up beyond your ankles have the added advantage of protecting your feet and legs. Deeper levels of dirt, mud and any water that is still lying around will not seep into your feet, if your boots rise above the mud.

Depending upon your gardening needs and what type of work you do in the garden, gardening shoes or boots will protect your feet while you clean and plany the garden. Any menaces of nature will not get through to your feet and you'll be nice and cosy. Make sure you get a pair and they'll save you a fortune in ruined shoes as well.
